Let's Open a TLD Forum for Legal Discussions?

I think it might be useful to open a forum under Using Moodle to discuss the legal aspects of Moodle use and development.

Reading this article discussing the recently codified TEACH Act, in the Chronicle, http://chronicle.com/free/2003/03/2003031801t.htm,
it came to mind that more and more kinks in U.S. (para)copyright jurisprudence are going to be an issue for administrators and teachers using Moodle systems.

FYI, I'd recommending looking around at the links at http://www.arl.org/info/frn/copy/TEACH.html to get an idea of what the Teach Act does.

I'll probably post a thread on that this week as well. I haven't looked at it closely enough to talk about myself, yet.

ciao bella...

An appropriately-named discussion in the Teaching Online with Moodle forum should do for now, as it looks primarily to be an issue for people using Moodle to teach. If there's enough interest or problems raised then I'll make a new forum for it when I undertake the big revamp of this course that I'm slowly getting around to. smile
