After our recent upgrade to 1.9 Beta 4, our front page calendar no longer pulls information from the courses a student is a member of.
Prior to this last upgrade, students could see all of their assignments, labs, etc due in the front calendar. Now, the front calendar does not consolidate the information. I submitted this as a bug.

Thanks for reporting the problem in the tracker - MDL-13749.
(By the way, moodle.org has a useful tracker issue auto-linking filter, as mentioned in the filters used on moodle.org forums documentation, which automatically creates links to tracker issues when you type the issue number.)
