Multiple coice with more than 3 default lines to answer

Hi,

Bij default there are 3 answers to choice from when making a multiplecoice question.

But in general I use 4 answer possibilities per question??

Any idea how and where to change this from 3 to 4?

There is (Moodle 1.8.4) an option to add more choices (3 at a time). If you only need one, you simply put a choice in the fourth section.

Moodle 1.9 gives you 5 initial choices (which you can increase 3 at a time). I don't see a parameter to set the default number of choices at the site level.

If you want to modify the code, edit lib/questionlib.php manually, and change QUESTION_NUMANS_START to the value you want.

Thanks for the solution. I changed the value from 3 to 4. It also worked for my version 1.8.2.
