Having recently sorted this one out with Martin's help, the problem is that you haven't set up cron.

Be warned that all the emails will go out since you set moodle up...
And today's moral is...
"if it doesn't work try reading the instructions"
Is it possible to "flush out" old emails before running cron? I have about 150 postings to 60 users that havent been sent...
Did everything listed in this forum and I am still not getting forums mailed out.
Also, anyone know why Opera will not load this message system? I had to switch back to IE to post this message.

The forums are being mailed now.... I was just impatient it seems.
As far as Mozilla... I tried it, but was not overly impressed. I really like Opera. It loads pages so much faster than IE, but for some reason will not run the Java program needed to write messages in moodle. I will have to check my other php sites to see if it is a problem across the board. It may be an Opera thing, or a Moodle thing...it is becoming more difficult to script pages with so many browsers out there doing different things.

The richtext editing thing is not Java, but it is IE-only, yes. You don't need it to write messages though - you should just get a normal textarea.
When I attempt to reply or write any type of message in Moodle... or even in PostNuke, the Opera browser loads everything except the text area. In the text area it says LOADING... but nothing ever loads.
It is probably I have setup in Opera... I just started using it and have not figured it all out yet.

Preferences -> Network -> Browser Identification
Or just turn off the Richtext editor altogether in your user profile in Moodle.
You weren't impressed with Mozilla? How long did you use it for? What do you like better about Opera?
Moodle & Mozilla, could it get any better? M & M, together they will rule E-Learning!
