Backup and restore

Re: Moodle 1.8.2; When I run the backup module, the resultant zip file is not to be found; backup zips from several months ago are present, but not the latest. I'm looking for the zip in the folder in which Moodle is installed, the uploaddata folder, the course folder (I only have one /2/), and the backup folder. Again, zip files from August 2007 are present, but none from November. I'm trying to setup my courses from Spring 2008 using backup/restore to no avail. BTW, I have tried this for two different courses on two different servers with the same result. Something is whacked in 1.8.2 backup??? Hank
