I'm trying to import into Moodle questions which have many parts. There is an image or a large introductory paragraph, followed by 7 or 8 questions which refer to this image or paragraph.

Does anyone have any idea how I could include these questions in Moodle without repeating the initial paragraph or image?

Use a Description question for the introductory paragraph and image. At the bottom of the Description question, say something like "the following eight questions are based on this paragraph." Then add the eight questions. You can also insert page breaks into the quiz to make the question grouping more obvious to quiz-takers.
