editing problem when saving in 1.9

Hi
I am testing 1.9 and often,but not always, after editing has been saved this notification appears

Not Acceptable

An appropriate representation of the requested resource /course/modedit.php could not be found on this server.

Apache/1.3.37 Server at www.dogscience.com Port 80

modedit.php does exist

any ideas what is causing this?

Hi all. I have recently installed Moodle 1.9+ (a weekly build, about 2-3 weeks ago) and now have to overcome the same problem. If I IMPORT a batch of questions into a quiz all goes well. But if I try to CREATE a separate question - I get the error message:

An appropriate representation of the requested resource /english/question/question.php could not be found on this server.

I was stunned to an extent of going to the file manager to make sure the file IS there. Which is the case: the file is there all right.

Anyone out there who can suggest a solution?
