Can't Upload .ppt files

I looked through the past posts and see this question posed often, but not all that many answers.

When I browse to a .ppt file on my Windows machine and click upload, I get the following error: PCLZIP_ERR_BAD_FORMAT (-10) : Unable to find End of Central Dir Record signature.

Moodle is hosted on a Linux box.

The site administrator is not comfortable with editing code. Neither am I. Do I have to convert my .ppt file to a .zip file before I upload it?

Well, first of all, you have to save your powerpoint as htm files, then you will have a folder with the name of you ppt, and you have to zip that folder, then you could import that on moodle.

I hope this could clarify your problem.
