I treid to install DOOR 1.7.2 but without any results.
The setup procedure failes with an error:
The repository is not working! Check that the configuration file exists.
Could it be that there are more problems with DOOR preventing it from installalling?
Hans.
Thanks Anthony I will give it an other go.
Hans
Hi Anthony,
I've given it an other try. But without any results.
Error: The repository is not working! Check that the configuration file exists.
Created a separate sub domain for DOOR.
Installed everything in the root. Removed read-only attributes, Given all possible permissions in IIS incl. read/write/execute etc. Created a test database from scratch in MySQL.
But the result is : The repository is not working! Check that the configuration file exists.
btw: The config.php file does excist and the new configuration info is in there.
I've given all possible permissions on all folders
Did anyone tried this on Windows 2003 IIS?
Hans.
Hi Anthony,
where did your download the Moodle plugin? In the actual DOOR 1.7.2 package from sourceforge the described moodle_plugin/* files are not contained!
OKOKOK, first read then type. The file is to be found here:
http://downloads.sourceforge.net/door/moodle_plugin-1.7.0.zip?modtime=1193826564&big_mirror=0
Has eLab supported installation of DOOR 1.7.2 with Moodle 1.9 yet?
I tried and failed. Reading these posts, it seems like I'm not alone. Looks like it isn't supported yet and its neccesary to use DOOR 1.7 for a uccessful installation. (Thanx Marcus.)
It's been a couple of weeks so I thought I'd ask.
Anyone who's experienced success getting Door 1.7.x installed & operational with Moodle 1.9 (Windows XP) & willing to explain how they managed it is welcome to send e-mail.
Thanks for your consideration.

I've installed Door 1.7.2 within the Moodle folder and managed to initially configure my Door installation there:
D: Xampplite\moodle\moodle\door
That's as far as I get. What do I need to move around in order to to complete configuration of the door Door plugin so it becomes a transparent Moodle module and block?

I slept on it and woke up realizing Marcus's post (above) truly tells all.
DOOR 1.7.2 needs the files and folders from moodle_plugin-1.7.0 to integrate with Moodle 1.9. Not a difficult concept, but I missed it.
On to installing the plug_in.
