Student Self-unenrollment

Student Self-unenrollment

We have transferred to Moodle from WebCT.  We allow students to self-register at present, but cannot see a way in which students can self-unenrol from a course as they could within WebCT.

During induction students were asked to look at various courses within Moodle and self-registered for these courses.  Now they need to remove themselves from these courses, but we cannot see a way for them to do this themselves.  Therefore, I am being asked to remove all of these students from the various courses.

Is there an easy way for the students to do this themselves?

OK, I have done this, but still cannot see how the student unenrols.  I have logged in as a student and there is no obvious way to unenrol from a course.  Can you point me in the right direction?

Many thanks.

Greetings, Jill!
You have to have the administration block out for the course. As a student, there will be a link at the bottom that says "unenroll me from this course". In older (1.6) versions of moodle, a student unenrolled by going to the profile page and there was a button. Now I have to figure out how to get this link into the course menu block, which I use instead of administration!

(In this screen shot, the course really is named "default blocks". It was just for testing.)
