I have a problem which seems something like obvious, but I tried to work it out and have no results...
I wanted to restore the course I backed up (with all the options on) but it restores without students' uploaded assignments and even without enrolled students. Just the course structure, even if all the restore option (users files etc) are checked.. I tried to look at the backup file using the "list" option on the restore page and noticed, that all the files which students uploaded are listed there. The course was very image-oriented and there are lots of files, the backup size is more than 800 MB, but there is no other way to fetch the files than manually unzip tha package and look for them aoutside of moodle, which is a pain...
What could be the problem? Any idea?

I am having a similar issue. I recently inherited a site and ran a backup with users. To make a long story short I get the same result with restoring two of the courses. I am running version 1.6.2.
