I have just uploaded to the snazzy 1.3 development and all seems well but when I login as a student then the side bars are rather narrow. They appear fine when I am logged in as the teacher. And it is not a case of being "logged in as" since I have tried logging in as a sublogin of my admin and independently. It does not seem to be related to Japanese either since when I am logged in as the admin the columns are displayed fine wheter I set my language to English or Japanese.
When I am enrolled as the administrator then the columns fill up the space as they should, as below. 
The same is happening (as a student) on the right side too.
