Dear Everybody,
I installed Moodle 1.8 on a public shared hosting server. When I add a resourse by uploading a file, the file is not veiwable(doesn't show) when the link created is clicked.
I tried all types of files i.e. 1)JPEG image 2)excel document & 3)Power point presentation.
I tried Power point presentation after saving it as a web page i.e. with .htm extention.
I checked the settings of Internet Explorer i.e. security settings, allowing pop-ups, active X controls etc.
When the link created is clicked, Internet explorer opens in a new window(chose the option of new window in resourse settings) & shows the message http404 not found.
When I click the details of error, it shows that IE was able to contact the website but required web page not found.
Problem is with Moodle's data directory or something else?
Link on the course page is created properly, file is uploaded properly only unable to see the file content.
Anybody please help.
