Adjusting Topics in the Topical Format.

I have a mess of teachers who have setup thier courses in a topical format.  One major issue they have, and I don't seem to have an answer for is this:  Can you insert, adjust, moveup and down, topics?  They know how to re-order individual items within a subject, but not entire subjects...  is this possible?

Not yet, but it's planned:

The (very) slow way is to just move individual items.

Our administrators are evaluating several different online course systems.  My boss (the tech director) and I are pushing Moodle and our main competition is Blackboard, which has the ability to move topics up and down.  Any idea how soon this functionality might be provided in Moodle?  It could be a show stopper.

Otherwise, we really like Moodle and I hope it wins out!

If having the ability to move topics up and down is that important, I'd be willing to bet that you could hire a PHP programmer to implement the functionality for a fraction of the cost of Blackboard.
