Hi all,
just few happy wordssmile to tell you that my organisation, Le Cegep de Jonquière via La Fondation Asselin, give us some time/funding ( 2 days/week for one year ) to realise "Socrate" a tool to generate help for the students in a socratic dialog way. We will be 2 to share the time ( Josée and me ) and a psychologist and an electrical engineer will be attached to the project.

These posts describe the project. Some compromises has been done to make the project acceptable for my organisation: It must run on the local LMS system Decclic and the input should be done without Moodle.

The solution is to use Excel as the frontend software and the content with its navigation will be generated in SCORM 2004 to make it compatible with Decclic and Moodle at the same timecool.

We will probably have nothing to "show" before 2008 but it will work next year at that period.

Socrate : First MindMap

Hi,
here is a screenshot of the first mindmap of the project.

The goals:

- To help students with a form of Socratic Dialog when the have problems with online formative auto evaluation exercices.

- The system will adapt itself to the learning style of the student ( visual, auditive, ... )

- To reduce by a factor of 10 the time required by the teacher to create these exercices.

That link show a more recent and complete image but non postable in the forums.
