Examview Import error

Examview Import error

When importing an Examview 5 test, I am getting an error in 1.8. This same quiz was working and importing properly in 1.7.

I am getting the following message:

Parsing questions from import file.

Importing 30 questions from file

1. Columns are table cells going across the page.

Could not insert quiz answer "true")!


An error occurred during import processing


I am getting this error on multiple Moodle 1.8 installs against multiple databases. All 1.8 installs were upgraded from 1.7 with the following process - backup database, dynamic files & Moodle code. Delete Moodle 1.7. Install Moodle 1.8 via CVS, pull config.php from old 1.7 install and follow upgrade process.

I am attaching the file I am attempting to import. Howard, I hope you can help!

To solve your immediate problem, copy the attached format.php file to

question/format/examview

overwriting the one already there.

Thanks, Howard. This seems to have done the trick. This time of year is when I've got teachers developing practice tests and I've still got a few hooked on Examview. I'm glad you were able to resolve this so quickly.
