I have a 1.6 instance running and connecting to our ldap server. It connects fine and never has any issues.
Since I've put on 1.8 on a different instance with LDAP authentication turned on, quite often it is very slow or I get cannot bind to ldap server.
Both my settings for 1.6 and 1.8 are the same. Was something changed in 1.8 to cause issues with speed?
None that I'm aware of. Are you using the same box for both instances? Could this be a network (or DNS) issue?
