Is it possible to "close" a Wiki so that it is visible to students but no further modifications can be applied to it?

Thanks.

Version 1.7/1.8 you can change the capability for students to write in this wiki.

Roles' assignment is something that a teacher can do (I'm not the platform administrator)? I can ask my administrator to add some roles, but then can I dinamically change roles and capabilities as a teacher?

Hi stefano

you can do it as teacher and you don't need new roles. Go to the settings of the wiki, choose roles at the top of the page and overwrite the existing role for students.

You can change the role settings for each activity you've edited in the course.

Hi Ralf

so I guess I have to ask something to my administrator as in my platform (version 1.7) I cannot see any "roles" tab in my activities. Do you know by any chance what should I ask him? He is not a real Moodle expert...
