There are some issues that I'm having with 1.8 beta+. Some of them are already in the Tracker, but have been closed for a long time and were fixed, but the same symptoms have appeared for different reasons.
Should I file a new bug if the version of the old bug is very old, like 1.3? Or should I just comment on the bug that it's happening again? I don't have the authority (pronounced like in South Park) to re-open the bugs.
I have the feeling that comments on very old closed bugs are quite low on priority for anyone to check, for the very natural reason of them being comments on very old closed bugs
What is the preferred way to deal with ancient bugs that are re-appearing?

Open new bugs and reference the old ones in the description, thanks!
