Hi,

I am a newbie of Moodle and trying to utilize calendar.
Now, I myself am almost satisfied with current version of calender, however,  some colleagues asked me to implement yet another monthly view.

Therefore, I have implemented that looks like the image I attached to this message.

What do you think this format?

If someone is interested in this format, I will improve my code to give a user (or administrator) of moodle a chance to select the format so that I can share my effort with you.

I really like this. Yes, you should share your code.

This might be nice to create a new detailed weekly view. And a new column with a checkbox for each entry would be. It could become a checklist for students to check things off after they complete them.

I would go ahead to improve my code.

Chardelle-san's idea is good, however I improve my code for monthly view at first.

Well, I have a question to Julian-san.
Could you tell me what 'the info box' is ? Where can I see 'the info box' in my moodle page.
I am sorry to ask it, however I am a newbie of moodle and not good at moodle page yet.

 Then, Genner-san, I do not realy know the policy of moodle STABLE branch in detail. I thought that 1.8 STABLE branch has been already branched and that new fetures should not be megerged to STABLE branch in general.

Anyway, I am now using two moodle server, one is HEAD from CVS and the other is 1.8-STABLE. After improving on them, I will post the code in somewhere (it might be in bug track, I am not sure though). If you know the correct place, please let me know.

Hi,

I have finished the first step of the implementation on Moodle 1.8 STABLE, there are many parts to be improved though.

Anyway, I would like to post the code here.
It looks like the image attached to this message and it is a little bit changed from previous my image because of my colleagues' requests.

Any advice would be appreciated.

I am very interested in this view, but my moodle is in Windows. How can I use this view in Windows please?

Hi,

You can use the code posted here in Windows even though you need to install some tools which can extract gziped file.

Anyway, the code here is a little bit old. I will post newer code (zipped with Windows smile if you want.
