Change the layout of the course home page

Hai,

I would like to change the layout of the course hoem page. Currently, it will display the blocks in right and left position. I am trying to change this and I have to arrange it in centre. All the pages have same layout. Where this layout is defined? If I have to change the layout to another, which page I have to edit?

Also, now the blocks will displays as a group of blocks. How I can call only a particular block using the blockid or any primary field to identify that block?

Currently, it will display the block according to the left and right(l and r from the db) position.

Is there any way I can call these blocks?

Have a look at "Themes" in the documentation.   These give you control over the layout and appearance of the pages in your moodle site, including having a 2 column layout instead of 3 columns.
