Hello all,

Would somebody mind sending me their LDAP settings as a sample? The part in the moodle install where you get authorisation from an LDAP server...

We have a Win2003 LDAP server, and I'd like to see somebody else's settings to learn from, as we can't get the moodle box talking to our (Win2003 AD) LDAP server. None of us know a lot about LDAP and we let Windows AD do all the work. If we had somebody else's settings we could just change the server name and other details etc and copy it in.

You can get lots of configuration information from http://docs.moodle.org/en/LDAP_authentication

Yes, looking in that forum, you should find what you need (you'll even find exactly what you're asking for). Took me a few days, but I got everything running with zero previous experience with Moodle. Much better to research and implement knowledgeably than to blindly copy. Notes to remember: 1) probably will have to modify database and a few files to accomodate the length of your CN's, 2) remember if you create your ldap user account in the Users container, this is a CN not an OU
