I have Moodle 1.5.2 set up with the MyFiles block in it. As far as I can tell I have 16 courses with the MyFiles block in use. I currently don't know how many files have been uploaded to it or by whom, but I'm sure I can learn.
We are trying to upgrade to Moodle 1.7.1
Having waded my way through the forums I am thinking now that the MyFiles block will not upgrade although people are making in roads into making it work in 1.7.1 so what I'm thinking is; that my best bet is to try to extract the current data in some way, remove the block upagrade to 1.7.1 hope that someone has managed to make it work successfully in 1.7.1 by that time, re add the new MyFiles block and then reload the data.
Has anyone ever tried taking the data out of the MyFiles block? If so any suggestions for how to go about it or where to start would be much appreciated.
