I've recently started using the object module because the resource modul would not unpack NLN material properly. The good news is that this works...the bad news is that some of the NLN materials don't appear to fit in the designated window next to the links and is cutting off the right hand side of the materials.
All help would be greatly apprieciated
It's a consistent problem with every browser I've used on three different platforms, I can only suggest that it's completely down to manufacture and no fault of Moodle or your own efforts!
There may be something that could be done with the(Moodle) CSS that refers to the iFrame (at least I think that is how objects are displayed) that may help.
I haven't had a chance to look into yet myself.
It is however, pretty annoying.
You should see my 'To Do' list!
I will have to look in to the css for the object module. Thank you for your reply at least I can tell my manager its a problem with the nln materials..lol..Thanks for your help.
If I try using the resource module to display the nln materials I get the links on the left hand side as normal but if I click any of them the display area comes up with page cannot be displayed..I've been trying to get that to work for a while now and have finally admitted defeat and tried the object module.
We are having exactly the same issues as you (cannot get nln materials to run through IMS CP, only show the navigation and page cannot be displayed AND object module chops off edge of some NLN materials)
Could we compare systems?
Moodle 1.7, Linux server - fedora 6, PHP latest version, apache latest version
It's all driving me a bit nuts.....
Just wondering whether either of you are using IE? There was an IE + IMS CP bug - MDL-6417 - which was fixed a while ago. If it's the same problem you're having then please reopen the issue, otherwise please create a new bug report in the tracker.
Unlike the Object module, the IMS CP resource type is standard code, so reported bugs are more likely to be fixed.
Sorry all for the late reply..I've been keeping busy of late and didn't see any of these posts till today. I do use internet explorer but I have the same trouble with both modules in firefox. I'm not sure what these bug reports are? Thanks for your help
