The Moodle future document says about Moodle 1.3:

Coming only weeks after Moodle 1.2, the main purpose of this release is to add the recently developed support for calendars and events into the main distribution.

So this forum is likely to get rather busy. Perhaps to aid with the development, we should start using the calendar section of the Moodle bug tracker . I was surprised to see that not a single bug can be found when selecting "Calendar" in the bug tracker. I will go and rectify that mixed.

Will the calendar code be moved into central CVS? This would make things much more convenient. Perhaps we should create a special branch for it and do development in there for the time being to not upset others?

Yes, I'll be merging the current Calendar interface code into the main CVS early this week when I review it (at this point I haven't even had a good look at it yet blush).

No need for a branch at this stage but I agree some CVS branches later might be a good idea as long as confusion can be kept to a minimum.

For a similar reason, I agree it makes sense to use the Moodle Tracker (despite its flaws) for Calendar although I know Jon has set one up himself. Perhaps it will help encourage someone to volunteer to help me build the Perfect Tracker for Moodle. wink

Martin, the worst thing about your posts is that they are so damn motivating! smile

That being said, and personal preferences aside, I agree that it would be better for the development to use the Moodle tracker until the MPT (Moodle's Perfect Tracker) finds someone with the time to care for it. wink

I 'll take a look at my own tracker and transfer any open issues from it to the MT.

Great !!.

Perhaps an option could be to migrate (in a future) all the MT info to a new "FlySpray" slightly modified (MPT) version (using Moodle's authentication....). Only an idea.

I do like Flyspray, but it still won't have Moodle forums and full integration within this course (these are the main things that I don't like about the current one).  wink
