Re: view problem

Since my first Moodle install, i have been experienced some annoying incorrect view of moodle page, that i assume that is browser configuration problem. I assume it because it occur often with Internet Explorer and less with FireFox . Some times this problem seems to correct it self with a simply refresh of the navigator windows ,other times it simple dos not fix. Despite my efforts i could not understand or fix this problem yet.

See images please...

Appreciate some help.

It appears that you are not always loading the stylesheet correctly. I have seen this once or twice on my own server, and reloading the page generally corrects it. Perhaps you could search the forums on this topic and find some help?

I found this one: http://moodle.org/mod/forum/discuss.php?d=57123
and this one: http://moodle.org/mod/forum/discuss.php?d=55856

I think it unlikely that dirroot is the problem, since your theme works sometimes, but you might have a corrupted file or something. One time I had a theme that broke all pdf files! It was the strangest thing, but we finally decided that something happened when I uploaded the folder and one of the files was bad. So I think you might see if all themes act the same way, or only certain ones. Remember too that (I think this is true, you could go back in the theme forum and find some info about this) several of the themes refer to the standard theme. They inherit some things.

Although I cannot help you directly, perhaps there is something in all this that will give you a clue as to where to look for the answer!

Olá Pedro

Aconteceu-me temporariamente a mesma coisa, que se resolveu simplesmente limpando os ficheiros temporários da Internet. Espero que se resolva, no seu caso...

Um abraço

(tanslation) I experienced the same problem and I solved cleaning the Temparary Internet Files.. I hope that tip solve your problem...

regards

Alberto

Alberto ,

Your absolutely right , cleaning “temporary Internet Files” solved the problem… Thanks a lot .

Pois ...bem me parecia que seria um problema associado ao navegador , obrigado Alberto deu-me uma grande ajuda... já andava há dois dias de volta deste mistério.

Obrigado

At this time i’m not so convinced that this problem is finished, because it back again, and clear Temporary Files of Internet folder do not result this time.

This is a very tricky situation because some times a simply refresh of browser solves the problem for it self, so only a long term testing can determine if the problem was really found and solved. So far i think it does not.

Hi,

I have the same problem also. My screen is slightly squashed, I have the extra 'skip' menu at the top of every block and random bullet points appear next to every resource added. Cleaning temporary internet files doesn't fix ours. It doesn this with every theme, even the standard one. I keep thinking it is something to do with a config.php file but I don't really know. Our Moodle has been messed up since we upgraded from 1.5.4 to 1.7+, now we simply regret the upgrade.

Here is my screenshot...

I don’t think so now. “For those which can`t live whit this problem, i would recommend a IE and S.O. re-install. i´m quite shore that it would solve the problem. “– I did not try this solution yet, but i would not be so shore about it now.”

ideas ?
