Hi, can anyone tell me where Moodle is currently at re Accessibility and W3C ratings. There are lots of threads here but most seem to go back to ver 1.5 and I wondered where we were at re 1.7 or 1.8 and current recommendations and user testing to any guidelines.

Moodle 1.8 is planned to be much more accessible - unless the effort of getting all Moodle pages to validate as XHTML strict drives everyone at Moodle.com insane tongueout. Only joking.

More seriously, there is a huge amount of work going on just now to get the accessibility work finished and Moodle 1.8 released. For the last week and a bit, we have been averaging 100 emails a day to the CVS commit list.

(And I can't actually remember what the target accessibility level is, but see http://tracker.moodle.org/browse/MDL-7396 and http://docs.moodle.org/en/accessibility for more info on what is being changed.)

Tim.
