Since the upgrade to moodle 1.7 the tex-filter doesn't works properly.

When I type $$$f(x)=x+3$$$ the result is f(x)=x+3

But when I replace the letter x with n I got the result:5785635296ebfe934dbbcb5f03eb9b23.gif

On this site I got No

I see the same problem with moodle 1.7.1. It seems "n" only is okay but "No" got the problem. In my case I saw the problem with x^{No} but not with x^{(m)}.
Is "No" misunderstood as newline or something?

Regards.

Is anyone else seeing the "&n" in the above post as a thumbs down?

Sorry if I did something wrong but I typed "n" inside "(" and ")" or "( n )" without spaces where we saw a thumbs down. So I believe this is the same as a problem with f( n ). Thanks.
