strange 1.7 course backup problem

Hi all

I'm having similar problems with some courses in 1.8

The email tells me 

"Courses: 65
OK: 57
Skipped: 6
Error: 0
Unfinished: 2
Some of your courses weren't saved!!" 

AS WELL the manual backup inside EVERY course on one installation stops at
"

Name: backup-diabetes-20070614-0959.zip
  • Creating temporary structures
  • Deleting old data
  • Creating XML file
    • Writing header
    • Writing general info

I've followed some of the suggestions above but to no avail.

Any ideas?
