Hello.
I have strange problem with my moodle.
On one (and only one) course, when I (or somebody else) post a message on forum, the message is not delivered via e-mail to anybody.
On other courses everything is OK.
Where can I find the bug - in moodle logs (there is no interesting there), in exim.log (moodle is running on Linux server) or somewhere else?
Any clue?
Regards R.
first question...is your cron running? If cron is not running these emails will not be generated. So that's a first step.
Is moodle generating any emails at all? (registration, teachers assignemtn alerts, ect). If no email is being sent it could be indicative of a bigger problem.
i am running sites in both 1.6.3 and 1.7 and cannot replicate your issue. This would suggest you are not looking at a code bug.

Hmm. Yes, it was cron.
But now - I don't know why, I have error in my backup log. In many courses - even new - I see error: "No log found". I haven't disabled logging, so log should be somewhere, but I don't know where - in MySQL or just in files on /var/www/moodle ??
