I was wondering if I could clear our daily stats log files directly from the database.

Currently we are at 7.5Gigs of Log files and I have it set at 30 days! 

Can I safely clear this from the database and if so how?

Please help.

If you don't mind loosing your stats, just stop processing them and delete the contents from the table in the database.

What section in moodle do I deactivate it.  Or can I just dump the contents of the table every week to keep the size down?

there was a bug in stats that caused an infinite loop. This has recently been fixed. I would delete everything from mdl_stats_daily, and delete the statslastrun% entries from the config table, update to 1.6.2+ and then try again.

We have this same problem.

How do you delete everything from the statistics?
