text area size in essay questions

Hello,

If I'm not wrong the size of a text area can be specified with parameters, i mean by using Moodle functions. I have seen this in some other modules (Questionnaire?).

So, my question is, would it be possible to add, as a Moodle feature, the options to specify the size of the box for an essay question. I think this could be benefical for students as my impression is that if they see a large box they think then answer must also be long. I don't know, it is just my thought on this...

Hi, Eduardo,

That sounds like a reasonable suggestion. I never thought about it, but you could be right about students assuming they have to "fill up" the text area.

It is more likely that developers will see your idea here, I think - http://tracker.moodle.org/

Best regards,

Yes, I spotted it later, but I read the forums before I read my bugspam.
