Now my question:
A hot pot doesn't appear in the Moodle calendar, does it? Like other Moodle activities? Or can one direct it in the configuration fields?

thanks very much for pointing this out.
You're quite right, the HotPot module does not not add events to the calendar, like some other modules. It looks like some code needs to be added to "mod/hotpot/lib.php" so that when a new hotpot is added, an "event" is also added to the calendar.

Dear Henny,
you may be pleased to know that I have amended the HotPot module in Moodle 1.6, so that calendar events will now be added/deleted when HotPot activities are added/deleted.
