Hi,

I wish I had seen this sooner (due 11 Sept), but the University of California system put out an RFP for a system-wide LMS:

How great would it be if Moodle were that LMS?

Kevin

Thanks for your post Kevin,

One of the questions in Integration is: "a. Does it have hooks to integrate with .NET or J2EE application development platforms?"

I have worked with PHP wrapping ASP.NET (www.hsasimulator.com). I wondered if there are MOODLE deployments that integrate with ASP.NET and J2EE applications.

Does the MOODLE system at SFSU integrate with other non PHP applications? i.e. finance, supply chain management.

Best Regards,

Tom Tuduc

At HSU, we integrate with our LDAP directory, to which data is pushed from our SCT Banner system. Other tools that can work with LDAP can pretty easily work with Moodle via NZVLE's very nice LDAP interface. The main problem we have is too much data, our LDAP system includes a good many more users than we want to have in Moodle (due to it's being used for various other systems as well).

HSU's Jeff Graham has been working on and contributing back some advanced filtering code that lets you tailor the data you get back from LDAP to your Moodle system's needs.

There are a good many enhancements in lesson in Moodle 1.6 that may be useful for corporate training (progress bar, dependencies, media files, etc.). The LAMS integration also seems like it would work well for corporate/personel** training environments.
