Flash module add-on: Multimedia filter : avi file, how to force stopping autostart-autoplay ???

Dear all,
I am happy with latest moodle version, specially about multimedia filter. The good thing is about mp3 player wich does not start automatically because I have anticipation questions before.
However, I have some trouble with the multimedia player and avi file (I suppose it might be the same problem with the other video formats). It starts automatically and ruins my anticipation question.
Does anybody know how I can modify the corresponding php file to stop it ? (any other answer welcomed...)
Regards,
xophe
PS: I add that I neither see the controller buttons nor use them.

Hi Tim,
No answer at all in fact. However, we manage at least with flv files at Poitiers university. Multimedia filter is based upon a free (flv) player, can't remember the name of its conceptor. We copy-paste a few lines in order to stop or allow the autoplay of flv files. Need to convert all the avi into flv however. I do think we should study  the other formats 'cause I suspect a webpage with too many links to videos (avi, quicktime, etc.) could probably crash the activities if all autostart at the same time.
Regards,
Christophe
PS: I'm also searching for a free simple audio (voice) recorder to integrate to moodle, any idea?

Thank you really Art Ladder. I need to test moodlespeex but it sounds a really good improvement for my students regardful of interactive activities around pronunciation for example, rather than simply repeat things without knowing if the accent is good, etc.
