can someone tell me where to get paypal plugin from and how to install and customise it?

Hi Jim,
Unless you have installed 1.7 (different admin menu), the easiest way to find enrollment plugins is to click the "Admin..." link at the very bottom of the administrator menu block, which will present you the full admin menu set (See image below)
You'll find the enrollment plugins listed under the subsection of Courses >> Enrollment Plugins, (second in the Courses submenu item)
