Installing Moodle

Uh... pardon my ignorance, I would like to install moodle to a our server making it available online and thru local intranet. I have a 100GB Windows2000 Server. Can anyone throw their 2 cents please...

Point your browser to the Moodle download page.  At the bottom of the page, download the Windows "Complete Install Package".  It includes the web server, PHP, mySql, and Moodle - all in one package.

Unzip it, follow the instructions in the "ReadMe" file.  You should be running in about 15 minutes.

Do you think installing moodle this way is safe? AFAIK, Windows 2000 does not have built-in (and enabled!) firewall and catches viruses easily; Moodle with XAmPP package contains phpMyAdmin which may also contain vulnerabilities. Such server can be a very good target for ko0L h@Ck3rZ, so I'd advise you to pay much attention to protection of this server.
