Postnuke and Moodle ??

Postnuke and Moodle ??

Hi,

I have noticed a late discussion about the possibility of using my actual ''users'' table in Postnuke installation for authentification with Moodle (as an external database I understand). Any chance the next version would solve the encryption problem?

Thanks for your time!

Yes, 1.0.8 supports encrypted passwords and authentication against a PostNuke users database will work.

Martin:

If I authenticate against an existing PostNuke db (which I have done before - very nice), what happens when new users ask to be registered.  Are they added to the PostNuke db as well?

What I would prefer to do actually is to migrate my PostNuke user and password db into the Moodle db.  Have you succesfully done this with the encrypted passwords?  I don't need to know the passwords, just move them so old users still have access.

Thanks for all your work.  We are hoping to launch our site next week for the Education Division of HCJB World Radio.  The site will be in Spanish. www.hcjb.org.ec/educacion
