SEB Feature Request: Maximum displays

This feature request was already postet on Safe Exam Browser Github, but it was the wrong place: SEB menu in Moodle - Add option "Maximum allowed number of connected displays" · Issue #1271 · SafeExamBrowser/seb-win-refactoring

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
It's no problem. It's a matter of user-friendliness. Some students have power notebooks with a second screen on top of the keyboard. With this kind of machines it is not possible to use SEB with default configuration from Moodle.
The goal is for students to be able to use their own devices throughout their studies. They're accustomed to their devices.

Describe the solution you'd like
In Moodle, under the “Quiz” activity in the “Settings,” you will find the Safe Exam Browser. Here in the settings "Require the use of Safe Exam Browser:" select "Yes - Configure manually"
There are various options with drop-down menus.
It would be useful if this additional option appeared here:
Maximum allowed number of connected displays where I can select 1, 2 or 3
It could look something like this:

Maximum allowed number of connected displays

Describe alternatives you've considered
Currently, I have to choose in the settings "Require the use of Safe Exam Browser:" select "Yes - Upload my own config". Then I need to use the SEB Configuration Tool for choosing this option.

Additional context
For most teachers it is to complicated to use the SEB configuration tool. As a workaround I've created a template, but that gives me restrictions on URL filtering.

SEB Feature Request: Maximum displays

Picture of Testers

Dear Marco,

yes, these new laptops with more than one displays become more popular. But for security reasons, the use of two or more displays is disabled by default in SEB.
Adding a new setting to the "Yes - Configure manually" page is possible but someone has to do the work.

On the other hand, it makes no sense to add half of the SEB settings to this page. The setting "Yes - Use SEB configuration template" was developed for scenarios that use different settings from the ones possible with the setting "Yes - Configure manually". Hence, I propose to use SEB templates or upload your own SEB config.

Best,
Marco

Dear Marco
Thank you for the explanation. I'm using a template to circumvent this setting and it is working perfectly.
Best, Marco
