Will Removal of an addon question type also remove all questions in quizzes of that type?

Think the title says it all ... 

OR ... if one wants to remove an addon question type, is the better/safer process to find all questions in all quizzes that used that type, and remove those first, before removing the addon itself?

Am asking for another entity who can't afford squat and would be extremely greatfull for a solution! sad

That is the prescribed method:
- Delete all the questions of that type.
- Then Moodle should offer to Uninstall the question type on the admin GUI.
- Only then remove the code directory.

You mean, to delete all the questions of a particular add-on question type? I looked for the same recently, see [qtype_crossword] Can't create new questions nor duplicate courses (Moodle 4.5.5). Found no back-end solution. Solved the problem by deleting them (tediously) on the GUI.
