So I found this and thought I give it a go installing it as it suits the project I am trying to do. I want an Fedora intranet running Moodle. But it is an old article and the tech has really moved on. The principle is the same.

Major question:  In the article he mentions Fedora Core 4/5. I am assuming it is a old linux system so which Fedora should I use, workstation or server?

A reply at last. I had to wait 10 years for that!

Unfortunately much water has flown since then. But don't worry. Moodle is still there. Fedora has a sibling, the CentOS - and a Pete Moodle is born.

Try to catch up downstream, perhaps here: https://docs.moodle.org/en/Installing_Moodle.

Better late than never as the saying goes ... although I think I shouldn't have replied as I have opened up a whole lot cans of worms!

I am halfway through the original link you posted now I am stuck. I am not sure why I cannot get Moodle up on my browser.

Any input would be very much appreciated :D

And thank you for suggesting CentOS. I may look into that if this doesn't work out.
