Theme Licensing

Good day,

I got two questions that i'm unsure regarding theme licensing as follows:

  1. If I bought a custom moodle theme for client A from https://themeforest.net/item/new-learning-premium-moodle-theme/20470826 and got a certain license no for the theme, Is there a way I can view who installed my theme on another moodle instance or not e.g. client B?
  2. Another question is, the theme you bought for instance, can it be installed on multiple moodle instances or only a single site (Client A, Client B - all under once license)?

I could not see any option or field in moodle to show there is a license attached to the theme.

The above applies to moodle version 4.5.3.

I think that would be a question for theme forest. We have no way of knowing how their licensing works.

Hi,

  1. No, Moodle doesn't track where a theme is installed—there’s no way to see if someone else (like Client B) is using your licensed theme.

  2. A ThemeForest has Multiple Packages of regular license allows use on one site/client only and Multiple clients/sites. If you want to use the same theme for multiple clients or instances, you need to buy Premium Package.
