A quick digestion of urgent messages from teachers?

Hi,

There is the option for users to get a daily digest of emails from the Moodle system, instead of each email seperatly.
That's a wonderful feature, but the problem is that it doesn't go hand in hand with the "Send forum post notifications with no editing time delay" setting when posting a post in a forum.

Since some of the teachers would probably want to send urgent messages to the students in some cases, if these students turned on the daily digest option, it's possible that they won't see the message from teacher in time, when it's still relevant.

I also found the following explicit text in Moodle docs:
"Note: For users who have enabled email digests in their forum preferences, the notification is NOT sent separately from other forum post notifications".
https://docs.moodle.org/405/en/Using_Forum

Is there anyway to bypass this issue/mechanism, so students would get non-urgent messages (such that don't have the setting "Send forum post notifications with no editing time delay" checked) in the daily digest, but would get the urgent messages (such that have the mentioned setting checked) in separate emails, immediately?

Thanks

The only way I found to send out urgent messages is to do so from the Participants page, and just leave a copy of that message in the Announcement Forum to go out with the daily digest.
