good evening,

in the notification area of my MoodleCloud site I read this sentence:

"In the next Moodle 5.0, planned for release in April 2025, the Chat and Survey activities will be removed from core Moodle. They will be available as plugins in the Moodle plugins directory. If you wish to continue using Chat or Survey in your site, you will be able to install them as plugins before upgrading to Moodle 5.0."

Well, I have created many survey activities in my courses over the last few years. Will they all become inaccessible, in April? Or will they be deleted? What could I do to keep these activities?

Hello Luigi,

I'm sorry that your post was missed in March. As you mention that you have created many activities in your courses, I'm assuming you're referring to Feedback rather than Survey. Survey is removed from Moodle 5.0 because it was not possible to use it to create custom surveys and very few people used it.

As your MoodleCloud site is now running Moodle 5.0, you'll have found all your Feedback activities. For anyone else reading this discussion who has not yet upgraded their site, please note that Feedback activities are available the same in Moodle 5.0. smile

as you guessed, I worked — and still work — exclusively on Feedback activities.
