text block in courses not visible for students

Hi,

we use an old Moodle 3.9 ...

With the enrol_auto - Plugin I assign the role "student" in courses by default. Having that role a user can see an HTML-Block e.g. inside a quiz. That works for older courses.

But now I created a new course with a Quiz-Activity having an HTML-Block right-hand site. With the role "student", they have by default, users can't see the HTML-Block in the new course, while they can still see HTML-Blocks in older courses. They can see it when I assign the role "teacher" manually also in new course.

So I looked in the permissions of that particular HTML Block.

blocksconfig

The student has rights to view the Block. But users having that role can't see it.

sry ... I'm clueless ...
Can you help me to make HTML-Blocks visible for students in new courses ?

Thanks a lot for your help !!

Best,
Bendedikt

Hello,

Can the student see blocks on the course page of a new course? Does the user have any other role in addition to student?

Just to double check, can you check those same settings as the "course" permission level? Go to course particpants, select permissions, and double check what's there for View Block...
