Hi everybody,
Recently I have came across about uPortal (www.uPortal.org). uPortal is an open-standard effort using Java, XML, JSP and J2EE.
uPortal is a free, sharable portal under development by
institutions of higher-education. This group sees an institutional
portal as an abridged and customized version of the institutional Web
presence... a "pocket-sized" version of the campus Web.
It has got numerous clients are using it in production with large number of online users.
How do you compare Moodle vs uPortal in terms of learning facility, performance and scalability?
Thanks in advance.
Regards,
Esfandiyar
I don't think it makes sense to compare them as they do different tasks.
It makes more sense to talk about using them in conjunction. A few people have been doing exactly that and you can find a few posts talking about that in the forums here.
