The plugin Category Duplicate https://moodle.org/plugins/local_catdup. It's very efficient when It's necessary duplicated all data in a categorie in a few minutes.

Get in touch with the maintainer. If you are aware of a particular problem, report it to their issue tracker. If you wish to implement a new feature, suggest it in their issue tracker and offer your help with the actual implementation. Most plugins developers will be happy for you pull requests if you communicate your intentions and plans clearly in advance.
