Courses and course formats

we are trying to use our moodle LMS to run paid short courses, i have sorted out the enrolment method which users have to pay before gaining access to the course. the major challenge we are facing is how to display only course category for the short courses on the homepage or we can allow guest access and only display the short course category on the dashboard for guest to pick from and enroll, the major challenge is how to display only a selected category, i will appreciate any help on this
