Edwiser Bridge for live and test Moodle and WordPress servers

Hi

I have a question, which I hope someone can answer.

So we have a Moodle site (lets call it Moodle1) and a WP site (lets call it WP1), connected via Edwiser Bridge Pro.

We have 2 Edwiser Bridge licenses, one of them is used to connect Moodle1 and WP1.

Unfortunately developers who worked on WP1 could not do much scripting, therefore we moved to other developers, who specialise in WooCommerce. They took a copy of WP1 and put it on another domain (lets call that WP2). They only worked on WP2 to improve it.

We are now almost at completion of WP2 and we want to put it live. However WP2 has no connection to Moodle 1. Is there a way for WP2 also to connect to Moodle1 and vice versa, whilst Moole 1 still be connected to WP1?

We would like this set up so that we WP1 and Moodle1 are our main sites, and WP2 and Moodle1 are  test servers.

All the Best

Because some of what you are using is commercial and you already have a programmer/developer involved in what you are doing, strongly suggest asking your programmer/developer.

Why?   An old saying ... 'Too many Indians' (us offering free advice without access/factual knowledge - which would be educated guesses [not good]) and 'not enough Chiefs' (the programmers/developers who did the work).

Not dodging the question here ... just offering what I see as best resource for your setups.

'SoS', Ken

Dear Fatima,

I hope this email finds you well.

I wanted to clarify the steps involved in setting up your Moodle integration with WordPress, as I am unsure if you have already contacted our support team directly regarding this issue.

Edwiser Bridge Pro enables you to link a single Moodle site to multiple WordPress websites. However, it’s currently not possible to connect one WordPress site to several Moodle instances.

To connect both WP1 and your new WP2 site (test server) to your existing Moodle1 (main site) using Edwiser Bridge Pro, please follow these steps:

  1. Create a New Web Service on Moodle
  2. Add WP2 Details on Moodle
  3. Configure WP2 with Moodle1 Information

By completing these steps, you’ll establish a separate connection between WP2 and Moodle1, allowing both WordPress sites to interact with your main Moodle instance.

For a visual guide on how to create and update web services on WordPress and Moodle, please refer to the attached video tutorial and GIF image.

Kind regards,
The Edwiser Team
