Brave browser on Debian GNU/Linux and the latest BBB server 2 months ago.
When I download a recording it is automatically get saved as deskshare.webm. Is that normal? I expected at least a timestamp in the file name.

Hello, it might be the server's recording format configuration, rather than the Moodle BBB plugin itself - see Server Customization | BigBlueButton
